Our Total Rewards philosophy includes a competitive base salary, benefits, incentives, and stock options. Highlights of our Total Rewards program for eligible U.S. employees include:
Insurance Coverage
We offer comprehensive coverage to provide qualified employees and their families with financial protection when they need it most.
- Medical/Dental/Vision/Prescription - We offer a choice of medical plans. Spouses, domestic partners, and dependents up to the age of 23 are eligible for the chosen coverage and employee contributions are made on a pre-tax basis. Plans include special discount programs for nutritional counseling services, vitamins, and certain health related products. Coverage is effective on date of hire.
- Life, AD&D, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability - We pay the full premiums for these plans.
- Voluntary Life and AD&D Coverage - Employees have the option of purchasing supplemental coverage for themselves and their dependents.
- Employee Assistance Program - Our program offers employees and members of their household access to free confidential resources including child care and elder care locators, health assessments, financial calculators, published materials and counseling services.
- Travel accident and travel assistance - Employees traveling on business have additional AD&D coverage, as well as services including assistance with lost luggage or travel documents, and international access to Western-style medicine.
Time Off Benefits
Our unique combination of vacation accrual, floating holidays, and holiday closures provides eligible employees who work a full calendar year with a combined minimum total of 24 paid days off a year-and that amount increases with each year of service.
- Paid vacation - Vacation accruals increase with each year of employment, to a maximum earning of 20 days per year.
- Paid company and floating holidays - We observe nine holiday closures per year. Five floating holidays per year give employees the flexibility to observe other holidays or to take personal time off.
- Sick leave
- Leave of absence - Time off may be granted for medical, family, or personal reasons.
- Community Time Investment - Employees are provided up to eight hours of paid time off per year for pre-approved volunteer work.
Savings and Convenience Programs
We offer a variety of programs to meet our employees’ individual needs.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan - This program provides the opportunity to purchase CTI stock at a discount through payroll deductions.
- 401(k) plan - Participants may contribute from 1-80% of base pay, up to the IRS annual limit, to save for retirement.
- Pre-tax medical and dependent care flexible spending plans - Participants may increase their take home pay by setting aside up to $5,000 on a pre-tax payroll deduction basis for medical and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts.
- Educational Assistance Program - We value our employees and their professional development and offer tuition reimbursement to enhance job performance and to help our employees prepare for future career opportunities within CTI.
- On-Site training - Our IT department offers convenient on-site classes for software used in day-to-day job functions. Occasionally, IT also offers brown bag seminars on a variety of subjects determined by interests or surveys on topics of interest.
- Scholarship program - This program is in place to invest in the higher education of CTI’s children.
- Commute trip reduction program - Subsidized parkingincluding free carpool parking, 100% subsidized bus pass, or monthly incentive to walk or bike to work for employees based at corporate headquarters. Our guaranteed ride home program with emergency taxi service is also available to those who find an alternative to driving to work in a single occupant vehicle.
- Complimentary pick up and delivery for dry cleaning and laundry is provided.
- The CTI Store offers a variety of logo items available at cost.
Health and Wellness Programs
To keep programs fresh and current, we try to vary some of our offerings each year. In 2005, our “Active for Life at CTI” wellness program earned national recognition after receiving Employee Services Management Association’s Innovative Program Award. Highlights of the program included wellness fairs, on-site personal training consultations, and healthy cooking classes.
- Brown bag wellness seminars - Topics typically address nutrition, fitness, or work-life balance.
- Discounted health club memberships
- Flu shots - When available are scheduled on-site at corporate headquarters for employees and their adult dependents.
- Nursing room for new mothers
- Shower rooms
Recognition & Incentives
These programs are designed to recognize and reward employees for characteristics and efforts that support our value statements and company objectives.
- Annual cash bonus - This discretionary short-term incentive is paid out based on successful achievement of key company objectives.
- Stock options (new hire and performance) - A long-term incentive plan creating an opportunity for employees to share in the success they help to create for CTI.

Employee Activities
A dedicated group of employees at our corporate headquarters organizes social and community events each year. A sampling of events includes:
- Socials - Interact with colleagues at coffee carts, breakfasts, or other social celebrations with seasonal themes.
- Ronald McDonald House dinners - Each quarter a team of employees plans and prepares dinners for the families at the local Ronald McDonald House.
- Community fundraisers - Our employees find it rewarding to give back to the community, and their generosity has collectively supported such programs as adopt-a-family, food drives, school supply drives, and a variety of fun runs/walks benefiting local organizations.
