Corporate Strategy
Making Cancer More Treatable
Cell Therapeutics is committed to being a biopharmaceutical-industry leader with a diversified portfolio of proprietary oncology drugs. What makes us different is our personalized approach to cancer therapy that focuses on treating the right patient with the right drug at the right dose.
Key Elements of Our Business Strategy
Our business strategy can be summarized as follows:
- Rapid regulatory approval — Target development and registration opportunities that take advantage of the ability to bring products to market as quickly as possible when there is an unmet medical need, or because our product profiles have the potential to improve existing therapies.
- Product focus — Devote substantial effort to the development and commercialization of our pipeline products.
- Product expansion — Seek to expand our products and product candidates in the future by actively exploring opportunities to in-license or acquire complementary products, technologies, or companies.
- Supply chain control — Control our supply chain capabilities for clinical and commercial materials.
- Genomic-based product development — Use a genomic-based platform to guide development of our oncology products to help identify and select patient populations that will be specifically responsive to our drug candidates in clinical trials.
- Improve current therapeutic agents — Investigate approaches to improve current therapeutic agents against validated drug targets to discover novel agents with improved side effect and efficacy profiles compared to competitor drugs.
Complete Manufacturing Control
Since it is essential to maintain manufacturing control, we manage all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning and forecasting, storage and distribution, as well as complete supply chain management for clinical and commercial drug supplies. We outsource our clinical and commercial drug substance and drug product production, release testing, and distribution activities to best-in-class contract manufacturing organizations and contract service providers both in the US and in Europe.
