Description:
This position is responsible for leading a cross-functional project team through the drug development process to regulatory submission and product approval. In accordance with approved policies and procedures, will assure appropriate strategic plan is developed and implemented, project activities are planned at the appropriate level, resources are committed to accomplish the work, risks are identified and mitigated, change is managed, and project status is clearly and promptly communicated to appropriate governance bodies. This position would also be responsible for providing executive management information regarding all aspects of project performance with emphasis upon cost, schedule, risk and quality of deliverables. This position will direct creation of a product development plan, obtain approval from PRB and ensure alignment with functional operating strategies. Will identify and communicate project risks, contingency plans, implement and manage appropriate change and manage the operation of the project team to establish and achieve project goals and objectives. Develop project budget and manage project scope, costs, schedule and quality of deliverables.
Job Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field with 12+ years pharmaceutical industry experience. Advanced level degree (MS., PhD, etc.) in a scientific/technical field preferred. 7+ years direct pharmaceutical/biotech or related project management experience with strong knowledge of scientific/medical fields in relationship to pharmaceutical development. Highly prefer oncology drug development experience and/or experience with an approved NDA/MAA.
