Systems Medicine LLC

Systems Medicine LLC (SM) develops products to treat patients with cancer. We integrate state-of-the-art predictive pharmacogenomics with world-class clinical and regulatory expertise to develop approvable, targeted, differentiated products for cancer patients whose cancer is defined by a common context of vulnerability (i.e., those cancer patients most likely to respond). Finding, defining, and understanding the context of vulnerability in which a product “works” is central to the company’s systems medicine approach.

A therapeutic context of vulnerability is a determinable molecular/genetic commonality among patients that is predictive of positive response to a particular drug or combination of drugs. A patient that falls into this context of vulnerability, regardless of the type of cancer they may have, is more likely to experience a meaningful therapeutic response.

SM's systems medicine approach integrates cutting edge cellular genomics with clinical medicine. Data from one informs the other, leading to the rapid identification of the context of vulnerability, the design and execution of a successful product development strategy, and the approval of the product for patient populations that will be specifically responsive and benefit from treatment. We believe this approach provides a unique advantage and increases the likelihood of efficacy in clinical trials, successful regulatory review, and benefit for the patient.
